The Brookfield Tax District was formed in 1989 with this charter, which established maintenance of public areas “outside the fence” and paying for street lights.

A $50 per household annual fee was added for the purpose of helping the Recreation Association repair and maintain facilities.

A formal agreement was established between the Tax District and the Recreation Association to guarantee proper use of the annual fee monies.
